Esteemed delegates,
Welcome to the Among Us Committee of Langley Model United Nations Conference XII! We are Krish Seonie and Alex Frey, and we will be serving as the chair and co-chair for this committee. We both were addicted to Among Us during the pandemic, so when we saw the name of the committee we just had to sign up for it. We both enjoy the thrill of the committee, and the demanding seriousness that is demanded of an actual United Nations topic, but also find it a nice change of pace to focus on discussion that doesn’t involve the fate of millions. We also find it nice that no one in the committee really has to study up, other than just playing the game and watching a few among us videos. However, even though this committee is about a casual party game, we encourage you to think critically about how to creatively solve these problems. Specialized committees are also a great first opportunity in learning how to lead and speak on your own, so we would love to make a committee that is a great learning experience for newcomers. We really hope that all delegates have a fun time adapting to the personality of their position, and really lean into their roles while speaking. Most of all, I hope that everyone in this committee walks out learning at least something new, and relishes this opportunity to show off their public speaking and leadership skills.

P.S: Who knows, we may not have caught all the imposters! And try to survive this committee without being ejected!
Sincerely,

Krish Seonie, Chair
Alex Frey, Co-Chair

Hi guys and welcome to VIMUNC XII
My name is Krish Seonie, and I am the chair for the Among Us spec committee. I am a Sophomore At Langley High School, and I started MUN in April of last year. Other than MUN, I do FIRST Robotics (go team 611!!), I play and watch tennis, love making art, and devouring pounds of pomegranate. I am a pretty heavy introvert, so I don't know how in the world anyone convinced me to start. I'm glad I did though, because it really helped me get out of my shell. In those stressful situations, and those lowest lows in committee, when it feels like everything is lost, but then you somehow turn it around, you gain a lot of respect for yourself and you are able to say “yes I can do this”. That, I feel, is a lot of what MUN is about. I truly hope I can create a committee that will help some of y’all get out there a little bit more, and surprise yourself about how much you are capable of.
Buena suerte, looking forward to seeing y’all at VIMUNC
Best wishes,

Krish Seonie (Chair) - [email protected] (feel free to send me any questions)

Hello everyone, and welcome to VIMUNC XII!
My name is Alexander Frey, and I’m a freshman at Langley High School. This is my second year doing Model UN, and as an extreme extrovert, this club was perfect for me. Outside of MUN, I play the cello in Langley’s top orchestra, enjoy running XC/track on the Varsity team, watching/playing soccer, cooking, and drinking boba tea.
It may seem a little silly to be in an Among-Us committee, but make sure to stay professional and we’re going to have a lot of fun!  Whether you’re a complete beginner or an expert, there’s always something new to take away. I know that the committee can feel nerve-wracking, but just remember that this conference is all about learning, meeting new people, and, most importantly, having fun. I can’t wait to hear all your creative solutions and speeches! Feel free to come to me if you want to talk about MUN or anything! Bonus points if you tell me your favorite boba flavor(not really)!
Good luck to everyone, and see you at VIMUNC!
Sincerely,

Alexander Frey (Co-Chair) - [email protected]
