Chair: Akshay Malhotra

Co-Chair: Imaani Haque
Background Guide
Letter from the Chair:

Chair:
My name is Akshay Malhotra and I am more than excited to spend the weekend chairing the DISEC Committee. I am currently a sophomore here at Langley High School, and I have been doing Model UN for around two years. Some of my hobbies include listening to music and playing/watching sports. In regards to the conference: speak loud, speak clear, and most importantly, work as a team. If you have any questions, about the conference or something else, feel free to shoot an email to me at [email protected]. While Model UN may seem like any other extracurricular activity, I continue to use the skills that I have learned, whether it is public speaking skills or research skills, are still things that I use in my everyday life. I am looking forward to meeting you all shortly and seeing the creative and collaborative solutions you present.
Co-Chair:
Hello delegates! My name is Imaani Haque, and I am a freshman at Langley High School! I have participated in MUN since seventh grade, and I am so grateful for it being an aspect of my life, because I know how it has helped me with everything from writing papers starting at 10pm to pushing myself outside of my comfort zone when it comes to public speaking. Outside of MUN, I love watching TV shows with friends and playing pickleball. My favorite TV show is Greys Anatomy! In committee,  I look favorably upon unique solutions, historic empirics, delegates using creative hooks and most importantly, diplomacy. Regarding hooks, I love to see ones that are very thought provoking! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to me at my email, ‘[email protected]’.
