Welcome to SOCHUM! My name is James McGowan and I will be serving as your chair for this conference. I am currently a second-year at the University of Virginia studying Chemistry and Youth & Social Innovation. Outside of academics, I spend my time reading and staying involved in a few organizations on campus. I look forward to seeing the research, discussion, and ideas that emerge throughout committee. Hey everyone! My name is Peyton Walcott and I am a sophomore at UVA studying Global Commerce and Politics. Back in high school I was apart of Langley’s Model UN team for 4 years and was the USG my senior year.
