BACKGROUND GUIDE
Picture
Hello! I’m Julian Vasapoli, and I am absolutely honored to be your co-chair for UNESCO VIMUNC XII! I am currently a freshman at Langley High School and have participated in Model UN for the past year. Apart from being a member of Langley’s Model UN team, I am also part of both the Langley Varsity Golf team as well as the Langley orchestra. I love to listen to Beatles music in my free time, doodling, playing basketball (Go DubNation!), and skiing.
What I hope that all of you guys take away from this conference is you come out not only a better delegate, but a better person than before you came in. In the culmination of all the conferences, and the many more you will attend in the future, it’s important to not always get lost in the results but focus on the many experiences on your journey. Whether that is cramming at 11pm to turn in your position paper, negotiating with fellow delegates during unMODs, or shivering as you go up to present an opening speech in MODs, it’s all part of the process. So, don’t forget to live in the moment and have fun with it!
I wish the best of luck to all delegations, and can’t wait to see you at the end of February!
If you have any questions, please contact me at [email protected]!
Sincerely,
Julian L. Vasapoli | Co-Chair
