I have been doing MUN for 3 years and have had some of my best and worst memories during the many conferences I have attended. I value creativity, teamwork, and diplomacy, and I’m so excited to see all your innovative and thoughtful solutions! Besides MUN, I also compete in the JV/Varsity level in debate, play two instruments, am a junior black belt, and regularly get less than 4 hours of sleep each night. I still remember my first conference where I walked around having no clue what to do, was too scared to speak, and had to repeat myself to others because I was too quiet. Whether this is your first or fifteenth conference, I want everyone to use this conference as a chance to go out of your comfort zone, try your best, ask questions, and don’t be afraid to make mistakes because as everyone’s dad says, “you can only learn by making mistakes and improving yourself after”.
