Hi! My name is Zara Ghattas and I am a junior at Langley High School, and I’m super excited to be your Czar for this Adhoc crisis! I have done MUN since middle school and have greatly enjoyed all of the experiences, memories, and friends that I’ve made these past three years in Langley MUN. Outside of school, I like to read, watch TV, and spend time with my friends. My favorite show is Criminal Minds with a close second being Jane the Virgin, which I’ve watched twice. Some fun facts about me are that I have two dogs and love to travel. The best part of MUN for me has definitely been being able to take on different roles and meet new people from different schools in various committees. More importantly, though, I’m so excited to be czaring this crisis, especially because this topic is something I’m sure many of you think about. I have helped try to make this committee the most interactive and fun that it could be, and am looking forward to seeing you all for two long days of debate :). Of course, diplomacy and creativity are very important to be successful for this conference, specifically because this committee is one you all can enjoy. Good luck to all of you and see you soon!! Feel free to reach out if you have questions at [email protected].
WASSGOOOD DELEGATES! My name is Sohil Kadam, I am a sophomore at Langley High School, and to be completely honest, I am a lil bit crazy. I’ll be your co-chair for this Ad Hoc crisis. I have done MUN for two years now and the club has without a doubt been one of the most gratifying experiences in my highschool career. MUN has given me countless friends and memories, not to mention the important life skills and lessons that I’ve learned along the way. Outside of school, I like to play ice hockey, hang out with my gang, and eat food. My favorite tv shows are The Office, Suits, and Narcos. I have a latina girlfriend named Sarah. I love to travel around the world with my fam and I used to have pet fish when I was five but they all committed suicide. The best part of MUN for me has definitely been spending time with some of my closest friends. People in MUN are there for you, both in and out of the club. From the unforgettable feeling of getting my first gavel to the thrill of college conferences, MUN has given me some of my best memories and is something I'm lucky to be a part of. I’m so excited to be a part of this crisis. Delegates, I assure you ALL that this topic is something that you won’t forget; it's spicy, it's fun, it’s debatable, and it’s even a lil bit spooky. Obviously, the typical MUN rules apply: you have to be diplomatic and try to be nice. However, creativity, uniqueness, and even controversy will make this committee lots of fun, so I recommend delegates bring those qualities with them to the conference. Looking forward to seeing all of you in committee! Good luck and while MUN is stressful and competitive, make sure to have fun cause we all know VIMUNC is the best highschool conference in the state!
